spontaneous

I can't believe I actually caught this on camera. It was a spontaneous hug fest and it completely amazed me. Stella has firmly become a walker (though crawling is still faster when the intention is to GET somewhere), toddling around yesterday like a pro. Go Stella, go! Sophia really wants to walk with her holding hands but Stella's not ready for that yet.

Have I mentioned Stella's obsession with birds? I think it is in part due to the fact that she can say and sign bird, but regardless, she will talk about birds all day. She loves airplanes too since they also fly over the house (both seaplanes and jets, luckily not too loud), but the word and sign for that is a bit too much for her yet. Kitty cat is of course a huge delight. "Tickle tickle" seems to be on hiatus. And baby food is no longer an option whatsoever. Alas we are in the stage of how do I get her to eat vegetables since she has no molars.

Sophia is as charming as ever. We had picnics all over the house yesterday with Monkey, Lulu (giant giraffe from Glenn and Liz - thank you thank you she LOVES Lulu), Lamby and us. At one picnic we even had a campfire. And I still can;t get over how quickly she picked up the rules for playing Sequence. She doesn't quite get how to win, nor that winning is the point of the game, but that's just fine with me. Stella loves the game too, but unfortunately that involves moving other people's coins and putting cards on the board etc. Anyway, thank you Grampa Joe. Sophia talks often about going to visit Grampa Joe to say "thank you" for the ISpy and Sequence games. SO SWEET.
