ups and downs

A highlight list of today

1. :) After bringing a coffee to far-overworked Jeff, Sophia and I went to Cowen Park playground for a change this morning. After a bit a dad and daughter showed up and we had an actual conversation! (a true oddity sometimes on the playground, as if there is a secret password to let you into the parent club or something, truly boggling) and after they left I chatted with a mom of a 2 year old, also very nice conversation!
2. :( Half hour nap. No joke. Truly horrible.
3. :) Great visit from a new mom-friend who is also due in January. Her first, son Bodie is one month older than Sophia. My first mom-friend made.
4. :( Dinner meltdown - HALF HOUR NAP - what else needs to be said.
5. Luckily we finished on a better note after fun bathtime.

Other new highlights: I think she is saying bye-bye, climbing climbing climbing, all that broccoli must be going to her feet - she needs new shoes, and she can climb into her car seat.
