Jeff's birthday "weekend"

For Jeff's birthday we went out to the Olympic Peninsula, to Kalaloch Lodge, which is right on the beach and very near the Hoh Rain Forest. We had great times on the beach playing in the waves and making sand castles (Sophia destroys them) and we went for hikes in the forest. We saw the mysterious mountain beaver (go figure, it's NOT a beaver!), several deer, a toad and a hairy woodpecker.
Sophia is a budding naturalist. And she is godzilla.
