food, garden fresh and good to eat

More and more I find myself thinking about fresh foods and how to get more vegetables in our lives. I am thinking about how to grow more food, recipes for fresh foods that the kids will love, and how to expand our food repertoire.
I've mentioned on facebook that I made some pizza dough from scratch and that it wasn't such a hit, but then I used some of the leftover dough the next morning to make egg sandwiches, and a few days later I made bite-sized salty-herbed crunchy bread sticks with the remainder of the dough. I am thinking about foccacias and pitas and about pocket sandwiches, pizza dough with broccoli and feta inside... spinach, pine nut and raisin?
And salad dressing.. I want to make more of my own salad dressings. I'm also thinking of salads with grains and greens...

I already bake quite a bit, but I want to create more savory baking that the kids will eat, and I want to come up with things that are easy to re-heat and are fun to eat. Things that are easy to pack into school lunches (!).

i am right there with you! our summer csa pick-ups are starting back up this wed. and i'm excited :)

aaron has a pizza dough recipe if you are interested. it's not so puffy (i think he uses 1/2 the yeast called for so it's more flatbread-y).
