a proud parent moment

This morning we didn't have preschool so I took the girls to REI to play in the Jansport Kid's Camp tree house, which Sophia LOVES. Thankfully Stella is big enough to like it now, and even conquered the upstairs treehouse (so she won't be up there crying for me) so it was a fun time for all (I brought along library cookbooks to peruse). Sophia was probably the oldest child most of the time, and as usual she was very sweet with the younger kids. And everything seemed to be going pretty smoothly until a girl started getting possessive about one of the climb-ons and was pushing other kids off of it (or trying to), and then another boy was blocking the bridge and teasing the kids as they went down the tube slide (calling it the toilet "it's time for you to go down the toilet!") ... and it just made me SO thankful that my kids don't do things like that. Of course - the parents of those kids weren't paying attention to their kids.

I made sure to thank the girls several times for their good behavior.
