backwards Monday

Today my kids left the house before me to go off to preschool and kindermusik, Stella with Mormor and Sophia with a preschool mom, and for just a few minutes I was alone in the house before rushing off to work. Weird.
Now I RARELY work in the morning, and never while Phia is at preschool... it was strange. Sophia had an awful night last night (sugar???) at tried to be awake from 4-5am, and consequently I was awake from 4-5am, and then Stella got up at 5:42am. Anyway Sophia seemed kind of moody when I got home from work but eventually perked up. We had an okay dinner - typical prodding and cajoling and joking and zooming food into mouths.
Anyway, after dinner I was just kind of zoning out on the couch and Sophia starting creating this talent show moment... she held on to a sheet of stickers like it was a program and she yelled out, "Everyone! Presenting..... Stella Bunny!" and Stella walked out from the kitchen with her easter rabbit ears on her head, walked through the living room and into her bedroom. Repeat but with "Stella... Princess!" repeat with "Stella.... Queen!" it was hilarious.
Later we played hide and seek - but Sophia never would be 'it' and when hiding she would always follow me and try to hide with me (our house is too small to have any hiding places big enough for 2 people). Stella would never settle on a hiding place but would jump out and run around squealing. Actually Sophia would never remain hiding either!
And it only took 3 penguin rides to get them to settle into tuck tonight.
phew

i love hearing this stuff, we play hide and seek but the kids hide together and if i find them they yell at me not to. and when i hide they pretend they can't find me. aren't you so realived to see glimers of more fun involving language and games and the kids coming up with stuff on there own.
