Happy Birthday Sophia!!!!! I can't believe that you are 2! I mean, I can, because you are so amazing and smart and great, but it's also just so crazy that six months ago you hardly spoke a word and seemed still so much a baby. Now you are a KID.
I owe you a real birthday letter and I promise it will come, but not tonight because YOU HAVE WORN ME OUT.

Second-year molar teeting IS ABSOLUTELY THE WORST THING WE HAVE ENCOUNTERED YET. I wish I could take the pain for you - I wish that soooooo much. Seeing you so miserable makes me completely a wreck, and having you be so miserable makes me crazy. And when the ibuprofen kicks in and you get happy again, like you normally are, it is wonderful beyond words. Your smile and giggle are so sweet and contagious. I love you.
