Seattle summer weather (for Sara)

The view from our front steps. This is a double "super" shot as it not only features the STRAW lawn that we Seattle-folk sport every summer but also highlights our neighbor's car collection (AND shows off our fancyfancy driveway!!)

The backyard is more of the same, minus (thank goodness) the cars, but at five times the size of the front yard, it's even slightly more depressing (in its brown crispy state).

It will all be a lucious glorious green in January when it's cold and raining - but we'll be able to look at it! (I say this as sarcasm not as a rub for those in the snow belt).
